Night at the Beach
Sometimes the best things in life are simple. No frills. Nothing fancy. Just good company and fun.
Two weeks ago, we went to the other coast (Bonita Springs, FL) to visit my family. One night we decided to grab a few pizzas and head to the beach for dinner with my parents and sister. We also brought along a disposable grill, lighter, ingredients for s’mores, blanket, 2 chairs and a camera. While it doesn’t sound like much, this was all it took for an hour and a half of laughs, good bonding and Kodak moments.
Near the end of our beach outing, we started playing around with the camera and light tricks while the sun made its way past the horizon. The gnats weren’t the best, but we snapped a few cool shots before heading home!
For those of you that don’t know how, try this easy recipe for making s’mores yourself. You don’t have to be in the great outdoors to to it, either. In a pinch, a microwave will do the trick (or your oven)… just make sure to keep an eye on the ‘mallow as it’s heating!
S’MORES
Ingredients
- 1 large marshmallow
- 1 graham cracker
- 1 (1.5 ounce) bar chocolate candy bar
Directions
- Heat the marshmallow over an open flame until it begins to brown and melt.
- Break the graham cracker in half. Sandwich the chocolate between the cracker and the hot marshmallow. Allow the marshmallow to cool a moment before eating.
